This reminds me of a conversation I had with a fellow professional discussing the development of the systems safety standard IEC 61508. The measures that the standard called for to achieve the various safety integrity levels seemed to me arbitrary, and my colleague agreed. He told me that he had asked one of the authors of the standard how they had come up with them, to which the author responded, “Well, we were all sat outside a Belgian street café shouting out suggestions. And as the strong lager flowed, the job just seemed to get easier and easier”.
This standard is used for the development of safety critical systems.
That clip is disgusting, I am horrified by those few seconds where she jokingly decided to destroy livelihoods on a mere whim and a casual phone conversation. She does not even have the intelligence to keep it to herself!

Thank you so very, very much for providing us this video. It hits me personally, as I spent this week in the Carolinas, and am a child of Massachusetts. This woman's speech explains clearly what I could not comprehend at the time (April '20)--how our Pennsylvania governor, after the two-week shut down of schools, could decide, not to 'see how things develop' and make adjustments to school schedule accordingly, that 'schools are closed to the end of the (academic) year'. It made no sense. None at all. But, foolish me, I had expected leaders to 'make sense'. Learned that lesson well.
Michael Rectenwald, author of the preface to a new edition of the classic study of psychopathic totalitarian regimes titled Political Ponerology, is interviewed by Lee Smith on Epoch TV about the current "clown world" political system our country and many others now find themselves suffering under. He explains that incompetent hacks are purposely appointed to high positions under the psychopathic leader, as they are no threat to the leader and totally depend on the leader's whim for their positions. Mandy Cohen's apparent self-satisfaction at her own mandates can be attributed to the Dunning-Kruger effect... Andf if you don't accept her, it must be because you are a misogynistic, anti-semitic Far Right domestic terrorist. She rings most of the DEI bells and has always promoted the official narrative. and she's never seen a masking, lockdown or vaccine mandate she didn't like. What's not to like?

I have put the same sentence in many places for over two years - people suffered and died because early effective treatment with safe medications (off-label) was suppressed. Well tolerated, cheap, available by the tonne medications like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin that you would expect from past use (and promotion by the WHO in earlier years) to help even had corrupt trials fraudulently showing they were ineffective. A crime against humanity.
