Earlier this week we described the bias in the BBC Radio 4 programme attacking the speech by MP Andrew Bridgen on covid vaccine risks and benefits.
Dr Joseph Fraiman - the first named author of the study that Bridgen referred to in his speech - saw the article and sent this message to us:
(the misspelling of ‘randomized’ as ‘ransomized’ seemed appropriate so we left it in)
He also wrote to us about claim by the Health Minister in the Bridgen video of “tens of thousands of lives had been saved by the vaccine in the UK”. He said
I became curious if that was even remotely possible.
While I am not certain what study he was referring to, I did a quick back of the napkin calculation using the NNV (number needed to vaccinate) data presented at the JCVI that Bridgen was referring to.
Here is his calculation:
Let the BBC continue being the government's mouthpiece and bitches to big pharma. Each week fewer and fewer people listen to their radio stations or watch their TV programs. As someone said on here the other day, " the only way to make an effective complaint is cancel the television licence fee".
RFK Jr is suing the BBC over its 'Trusted News Initiative' campaign which is basically a conspiracy by the big MSM operators and Big Tech social media to censor and boycott independent news outlets in order to promote the official narrative on vaccines and Covid vaccines in particular. The claim is that the BBC has violated anti-trust laws. I hope his case succeeds. It's way past time that the BBC were taken down a peg or two; they have become far too big for their boots. They violate their own charter with impunity, yet the government still refuses to abolish the licence fee - most likely because the BBC now act as the government's propaganda mouthpiece.
