They absolutely did not. It's like they think if they killed 10 million world wide (which is about what the current best estimates are), but they "saved" 20 million, it all evens out.
Well they didn't save anyone, from the well marketed flu. And they have killed ~10 million, and damaged about 1 billion (to varying extents). And for this they need to hang.
I think it is still important to point out all the errors in these papers as they are used to hand wave away concerns about vaccines. Especially in high level committee environments where there are not practitioners there to correct them. In Australian committees they use... well there have been billions of shots and we haven't seen any problems...
Also on the risk to benefit ratio, I think from an ethical standpoint a ratio of 1 to 1 to say benefits outweigh the risks is not acceptable. ie save 20M and kill 20M at the same time? I would have thought from ethical considerations the ratio should be something like 100 to 1 or higher.

Short-term predictions from this model were also far superior to those reported in the media (incl. scientific media). I tried to get this into the public domain but no-one was interested. I stopped trying when I discovered Prof. Fenton's work, assuming (wrongly) that people would take notice. But we still get statistical nonsense like the Lancet claim. Then I got Covid, followed by myocarditis, so I was in no shape to take it further. Now, after a long wait, with a stent in my LAD artery, I'm fit again and able to do some catching up. Glad to see Prof. Fenton hasn't given up. Keep going!!

Contrast that Mickey Mouse, easily debunked fantasy figure with actual data which strongly suggests that Astra Zeneca alone killed nearly 4 million people in India who were at near zero risk of death from Covid in just a couple of months.
They will keep clutching at these straws and supposedly 'reputable' journals like the Lancet will progressively expend their good reputation by entertaining junk studies like this in their desperation to avoid the horrifying truth. But the truth will out eventually; something this momentous cannot be swept under the carpet. Good science and hard data will prevail over bad science, lies, corruption and propaganda. But it's going to be a long hard slog to get there.
I usually shut down this debate by saying they weren't covid deaths, they were death by protocol by the doctors being stopped to prescribe medicines known to be safe for over half a century under the false claim they were suddenly more dangerous than the plague of the century and experimental injections with unknown long term side-effects.

Well, I seem to have forgotten to post this: 30 years never had a virus or bacteria infection = never ill: Mix one heaped teaspoon of salt in a mug of clean warm water - cup a hand and in stages, sniff or snort the mugful up your nose spitting out anything which comes down into your mouth. If burning sensation, you have a virus and the salt solution is disinfecting it, so wait 2-3 minutes until burning sensation goes away, then blow out your nose on toilet paper and flush away, washing your hands afterwards. Do my free salt water cure morning, noon, night or more often if you want, until it feels like you are flushing with water only - job done. 3 minutes idea to job done - simple. No virus, no Covid or Long Covid in your head possible. You cannot catch Covid, you have to catch a Coronavirus first and let it become Covid in the nasal passages of your head, later transported down into your body in the one liter of snot, or mucus, we each produce daily - the engine oil of the body. Vaccines - what for - I never have any. My method is like using a fire hose to put out a fire. I agree that we need folks like you to rigorously debunk these articles, so that the rest of us have something solid we can refer to, in quick retort to such claims. Also we should play turnaround with the tricks like this lady uses "in the very relevant and respectable journal the lancet", and use their own wording in response of highlighting works that show vax injury and side effects, and negative efficacy now published in BMJ and other reputable and respectable journals.
