I don't think it was the modellers who "railroaded" the country in to lockdown. The government made a deliberate choice to rely on Ferguson's modelling because it fitted the agenda from the outset...to lockdown until the miraculous 'vaccine' could roll off the production lines. Why would a government make such a far reaching destructive decision relying solely on Imperial College's and Ferguson's model when his previous modelling vis a vis foot and mouth, swine flu, CJD had been exaggerated. Fatalities never got anywhere his predictions. Of course, there were also pictures of citizens falling down, pictures of coffins piled up in Italy, to cement the 'urgency'.

The misuse of the PCR played a significant role in keeping the 'pandemic' going through the summer! as well as the mandating of masks on 24 July 2020.

It was theatre from start to finish. Johnson's theatrical language was a real give away..."the invisible enemy", "the galloping hooves of the cavalry"...which were the 'vaccines' coming "over the hill" to free the country from never-ending lockdowns.

I can't understand how so many people couldn't see the theatre, the 'production' as it unfolded right at the start of 2020, magnified by the blatantly false propaganda that "everyone is at risk" (Gove), with pictures of gasping patients beautifully made up! No one so ill has make up done. I can't fathom how people accepted the illogical farcical diktats.

I've a copy of Fighting Goliath....Worth its weight and wait.

I agree the modellers didn't railroad government. Numerous countries around the world acted in lockstep and I see little evidence that the likes of Boris Johnson, for example, were making some kind of independent decision.

Fatalities DID approximate the Ferguson's models in certain locations. There are good reasons to suspect the spikes in NYC and Bergamo, for example, involved a degree of data engineering to "fit" the events to the Imperial models. https://substack.com/@jessicahockett/note/c-81213718?utm_source=notes-share-action&r=jjay2

We submit those "Twin Peaks" were supposed to be the 'If You Do Nothing' exemplars.

Put differently in an excerpt from a summary I'm working on: "The close match between shape of the New York/Bergamo events and Imperial College projections for the UK and US points to a motive for data engineering: the need for real-life disasters that matched scientists’ projections. The viruses needed to look like bombs in a few places in order for people to take orders seriously and obey."

Yes - he came out with similarly dramatic numbers in 2009 for avian flu. 100k + supposed to die vs reality of several hundred, (and even those could be misattributions). Difference was that he was ignored by government first time around, not the second. No doubt therefore that government appetite played a big part.

Had the 2009 government responded as the 2020 version did, we’d have been locked down and destroyed our economy for absolutely nothing. And you can pretty much guarantee the death toll would have been much higher thanks to the various interventions that would have taken place.

I believe it was the swine flu 'pandemic' in 2009. Ferguson wasn't ignored then. The government bought in Pandemrix, which was withdrawn after it caused narcolepsy. At that time the rest of the 'pandemic apparatus' hadn't been put in to place, i.e the mass testing - PCR and LFT- the propaganda via adverts, 'talking heads', the machinery of censorship etc. The absence of those

meant the government (Blair's Administration) couldn't respond like the government (and governments in the West) did in 2020.

You’re right, swine flu. Thanks. And while he wasn’t ignored, they didn’t react to the predictions of societal catastrophe in quite the way they did 11 years later.

My point, which I failed to make through my Sunday morning haze, was that had the reaction been to lock down, shut the economy etc. then we’d have had higher deaths vs do nothing, plus Ferguson / medical establishment / Pharma telling us how many lives they’d saved by reference to their ridiculous models. And none of it would have been falsifiable.

Thank you for replies WJM....Yes..agreed.

Not so easy, currently, to falsify with valuable substacks (eg WATN and others), 'wayback' etc.

The Internet is a double edged sword for these 'players' ( politicians, medical advisers aka arch meddlers, global corps, 'philanthropists') because they need it to feed their propaganda, but it catches them out more often than not!

Would i be right in saying you both discussed ''all things COVID'' for over an hour EXCLUDING the world's only official COVID inquiry evidence from Scotland which has accumulated the past 12 months and proves beyond any doubt what was really going on during the lockdown?
